My first ATC, and proof that my give-a-damn about art has come back enough to start finishing commissions without fear of fucking them up.
This card is currently up for trade! Show me your cards up for trade if you're interested. In case you don't know what these are, they're little tiny like 2 by 3-ish inch cards that you paint/draw finished works on and trade with other artists. If you've been seeing the ACEO's on front page lately, ATC's are traded, while ACEO's are sold. You can buy them at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's, and probably about most craft stores now, about $2.50 for 20 cards (I know you could cut them, but it's worth the money to me to have them ready-made). And they come in all sorts of paper, from watercolor paper to bristol to canvas paper.
I'm glad to see you are feeling better, and can go back to your art!
This *checks category* *Sigh* err... let's see drawing I assume, is really good! I think especially the hair is really well done (I'm guessing with all the furrys you draw you get a lot of practice with hair/fur hehe)
The majority of women I draw have shorter hair, though, and fluff and long, glorious hair are 2 very different things. This is more of a first successful step into the area. And it's a drawing/painting/marker thing. Hell, a picture. XD
I wish I could fully reply to this, but feeling better, and being able to connect with my art, unfortunately, are not one in the same. But functionality while going through hard times is important, as well.
Right, I'll refer to your art in the future as "pictures" for the sake of my understanding!
And also, I don't draw myself and so I didn't realize how different the two kinds of hair are, but now that you say it I can understand it!.
And I'm sorry! It's good to see you able to create art again, but it hurts me to hear that you are having a hard time. Of course everyone has those times every now and then, but that doesn't make it easier I wish you all good though! ^^
First of all, wow and kudos at getting such lovely detailing on to such a small space!
The first thing that caught my eye was the hair as usual. I love the colour, the flow and the shading, it's so fluid. I like how you've made different sections and how it al works together like proper hair would. The way you've made the light shines and the darker tones work together on different sections that curve is amazing.
The shape of the eye is very good. I like that it's realistic and yet still has a fantasy element to ith with the dainty eyelashes. Also, the eyeshadow rocks. I like how you've not just shoved a block of colour over the eye, i like how you've darked the tone under the brow and lightened it over the apex of the eye. Like a real make-up artist would.
The skin is so well handled too. I like the subtle shading under the cheekbone and whereit darkens under the neck. The contrast between the pale face and the darker shoulder is very very eye catching. Oh and i need to commend you on the fine work of the shading between the neck tendon and the collar bone. Very very well done - a detail that i always miss. I love the richer blue over the shoulder and breasts, not to mention the pattern drawn on, which is exquisitely detailed, might i add. I envy, as always, your patience in putting in all the little tonal changes and fantastical bright shines in.
The background is gorgeous too, I think your choice of purple was the only way to go. The red and blue go so well with it, and the green kelp-like patterns also compliment well, adding variety and depth to the whole image. The bubbles are awesome too, i like how the shading is very soft, but it IS there.
Excelent work.

Thank you, doll~ I freakin' loved doing her cheekbone. When I can add a strong line of shading with just one watercolor brushstroke,, I feel damn accomplished. As for everything else you pointed out, ya pretty much pointed out almost everything I wanted people to notice XD Thanks for the ace comment.

I am still amused that this feminine ass face was originally supposed to be Spy DX
