I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

I've kind of been disappeared from DA for a while now. Not necessarily that I don't ever get on, I just don't contribute. Still kind of in an odd slump, still thinking I'll get over it.

There should be a small flood of commissions coming to a DA (and consequently, if you are a commissioner, also a mailbox) near you over the next couple of weeks before school starts.

I have a small army of idle sketches and experimentations from last semester that I'll begin uploading for the sake of sharing, but be warned, the images will be fantroll heavy.
If you don't like Homestuck or don't like Fantrolls, I suggest you either delete my stack of submissions as soon as you see them for the next time, or more simply, unwatch me.

Commissions are currently closed indefinitely. From now on, unless I decide otherwise, I will </b>only</b> take commissions at conventions. My priority is completing the commissions I have right now, not taking more. After these are completed, the only time I will take on work outside of conventions is for small sketch trades if I'm feeling extremely social and have time to kill.

If you have a commission with me, rest assured I am working on it. However, if you are worried I've forgotten you, or if you would like to change your order, feel free to message me. I would be more than happy to discuss it with you.
